Asti Tour de Vine
Autumn Bicycle Tour October 17, 2009
About Us

You are invited to the Asti Tour de Vine, a 25k, 50k, 100k or 100m bicycle tour on Saturday, October 17, 2009, in California’s breathtaking Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys. This event is hosted by Cloverdale Rotary, a non-profit organization. Special recognition goes to Cellar No. 8, at Historic Asti Winery, for their generous sponsorship. Proceeds help support local community programs and projects.

October is a beautiful time of year in northern Sonoma County. Ride through charming rural valleys, autumn-hued vineyards and the meandering Russian River.
The weather will confirm it – fall is in the air!

This leisurely tour begins at Cellar No. 8 Wines, located at the historic Asti Winery. Check in between 7:00a.m. - 9:00 a.m., and have a cup of coffee and a pastry to start your morning.
Ride at your own pace and choose the route that is best for you: 25k, 50k, 100k or 100 mile (century) - all scenic! For the extreme challenge, sign-up for our new century ride - the Rockpile Rumble. The additional out and back 35 mile journey will get your heart pounding and your thighs burning as you climb nearly 3000 feet, enjoying the breathtaking views of beautiful Lake Sonoma.

Local foods and beverages will be served at the five harvest-inspired, themed rest stops, and SAG support is provided throughout the course. After your tour, return by 3:30 p.m. for a bountiful gourmet luncheon, accompanied by Cellar No. 8 wines. Those who register by October 1, 2009 will be given an event t-shirt and event packet. All riders will be entered in a raffle for prizes, including wine, bike jerseys and other fun items!
Registration for this exclusive tour is limited. The pre-registration fee is $55.00 for adults and $35.00 for students; minors must be at least 14 years of age. For extra savings, sign up your team of five for only $240.00. All registration forms and waivers must be sent in with payment. See our Registration page for more details.
Why not spend the weekend? Our region boasts lovely bed and breakfast inns, vacation rentals, and lodging facilities, close to wineries, shops, recreation and fine dining. Check out our sponsors for some great referrals!
